The State of the Planet, December 2, 2020

On December 2, 2020, from 8:45 – 10:00 am EST, the Columbia University’s World Leaders Forum will feature a special address by António Guterres, United Nations Secretary-General on “The State of the Planet”  on the current crises concerning climate change and biodiversity loss with the aim to identify future steps needed to reverse their course.

The speech will be followed by a question and answer session with a virtual Audience. The introduction will be provided by Lee C. Bollinger, President of Columbia University in the City of New York, and the discussion will be moderated by Maureen E Raymo, G. Unger Vetlesen Professor of Earth and Climate Science; Interim Director, Earth Observatory.

Among the participants: Francesco Frati, Rector of the University of Siena, Angelo Riccaboni, Chair of SDSN Mediterranean, Sabina Ratti, Chair of SDSN Italy.
